About FoStAC

The Friends have raised over £550,000 in more than 20 years.

The Friends of St. Andrew's Church, Sonning-on-Thames, Berkshire was formed in 2003.

The charity's objective is to: "enable the restoration, preservation, repair, maintenance, improvement, beautification or reconstruction of the church", as deemed necessary.

The first major project was the retiling of the roof, followed by the refurbishment of the bell tower roof and some of its structure. In 2016 a new heating boiler was fitted, in a separate building.

In addition, FoStAC has funded the refurbishment of stained glass windows, new glass entrance doors, the replacement of the sound and lighting with more energy efficient systems together with various other minor enhancements.
