SONNING ON THAMES
BERKSHIRE

Who is FoStAC?

The Friends of St. Andrew’s Church, Sonning was set up in 2003 as a registered charity to enable the restoration, repair, maintenance, improvement and beautification of St. Andrew’s Church in Sonning-on-Thames, Berkshire.  It is also known as FoStAC.

To meet this objective FoStAC organise fundraising events and also invite donations either in the form of outright gifts or by regular giving by standing order.  The last major project funded by FoStAC was the installation of the new lighting system within the Church at a cost of over £58,000.

We are currently supporting the renovation of the vestry wall (see below) and looking to restore our reserves to enable FoStAC to have sufficient finances available for any emergency repairs or future projects.

OUR CURRENT PROJECT:
THE VESTRY WALL RENOVATION

Currently, the vestry wall within the church is very damp and needing urgent remedial work. FoStAC is supporting this work and quotations estimate a total of £30,000, comprising external and internal wall repairs, enhanced damp proofing and replacement of gulley being needed.

FoStAC is hosting a range of events, including garden party, social dinners, a musical concert, a family bike ride and a race night in 2024, to help raise funds.
